JOB DESCRIPTION

Providing RF Engineering Consulting in Wireless Communication Industry; Performing RF Planning, Optimization and Performance Management; Performing RF Database/Parameter Review and Audit, including optimization plans; Conducting performance and tuning and optimization of LTE/UMTS/GSM overlay wireless networks to reduce interference, call drops and access/handoff failures; Submitting SLA KPI's to customer and justify the performance of the network; Performing RNC level statistical analysis and performance management; Correlating alarms/outages with KPI's for the RNC and BSC; Conducting initial tuning for LTE (4G), UMTS (3G) and GSM (2G) Networks; Maintaining Networks KPI's on targets Drop PS <2%, Drop Speech <1%, Accessibility PS >98%, accessibility Speech >98%. Initial Tuning of new sites/Node B's; Using ITK, Business Objects and other RF proprietary software for analysis and create customer reports; Using Moshell for parameters change and configuration for RBS and RNC; Changing, creating, and deleting Utran Relation and external Utran Relation; Launch optimization of new LTE layers: L700 & L1800 with corresponding pre-launch & fine-tuning activities. Perform carrier aggregation activation and parameter tuning. Optimization of parameters for feature HSDPA, EUL, Channel Switching, Handover, Capacity Management, Idle Mode and Common Channel Behavior; Performing call drop analysis, SHO, HHO, IRAT, HO, RRC, RAB, SHO Factor Congestion KPI analysis and take appropriate actions; Perform traffic steering study to balance load among technologies and layers. Conduct new feature trials and implementation after controller release upgrade. Monitoring and benchmarking RNC/NodeB upgrade/patch implementation; Tracing analysis using Trace Viewer and LMT; Being responsible for RRC, RAB, IRAT, HO failures, call drop, SHO failures analysis; EME studies and Regulatory Site Compliance as per FCC guidelines.

Education and Experience:

Master's degree or foreign equivalent Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Mobile Communications or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience performing launch optimization of new LTE layers: L700 & L1800 with corresponding pre-launch & fine-tuning activities; Perform carrier aggregation activation and parameter tuning. Perform traffic steering study to balance load among technologies and layers. Conduct new feature trials and implementation after controller release upgrade.

WORK LOCATION:
