JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide RF Engineering Consulting in Wireless Communication Industry; Perform RF Planning, Optimization and Performance Management; Perform RF Database/Parameter Review and Audit, including optimization plans; Conduct performance and tuning and optimization of 5G NR / 5G VoNR / VoLTE/ LTE/ UMTS/ GSM overlay wireless networks to reduce interference, call drops and access/handoff failures, improve data throughputs and latency; Perform feature & parameter trials, mobility strategy tuning/LMS setting/MLB setting/Idle mode parameters turning (Inter LTE & Legacy NW), VoLTE & LTE traffic sharing as per carrier strategy based on new carriers coming into network & carrier upgradation; Conduct MIMO feature DL TP improvement and carrier aggregation, LTE load balancing; Submit SLA KPI's to customer and justify the performance of the networks; Perform RNC level statistical analysis and performance management; Correlate alarms/outages with KPI's for the RNCs and BSCs; Conduct initial tuning for 5G NR, LTE (4G), UMTS (3G) and GSM (2G) networks; Perform fast uplink adaptation, improvement in UE Drop Rate by (Extended RLF timer, Carrier aggregation, load). Conduct frequency re-framing in 4G from 5MHz to 10 and 15 MHz and align parameters accordingly. Fast Retune to LTE Feature testing and implement in networks; Perform Network Capacity enhancement planning through 1800 band implementation. Ensure proper traffic balancing between 900 & 1800 band at sites where Dual Band is used to minimize TCH blocking; Maintain Networks KPI's on targets Drop PS < 2%, Drop Speech < 1%, Accessibility PS > 98%, accessibility Speech > 98%. Initial Tuning of new sites/NodeB's; Use ITK, NetAct, One Data, Business Objects and other RF proprietary softwares for analysis and create customer reports; Use NetAct for parameters change and configuration for RBS and RNC; Change, creating and deleting Utran Relation and external Utran Relation; Optimize parameters for feature Massive MIMO, Carrier Aggregation, SINR, IRAT, HSDPA, EUL, Channel Switching, Handover, Capacity Management, Idle Mode and Common Channel Behavior; Perform call drop analysis, SHO, HHO, IRAT, HO, RRC, RAB, SHO Factor Congestion KPI analysis and take appropriate actions; Monitor and benchmark RNC/NodeB upgrade/patch implementation; Perform Trace analysis using Trace Viewer and LMT; Be responsible for RRC, RAB, IRAT, HO failures, call drop, SHO failures analysis. Conduct EME studies and Regulatory Site Compliance as per FCC guidelines.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineer or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience performing feature & parameter trails, mobility strategy tuning/LMS setting/MLB setting/ Idle mode parameters turning (Inter LTE & Legacy NW), VoLTE & LTE traffic sharing as per carrier strategy based on new carriers coming into network & carrier upgradation; Conducting MIMO feature DL TP improvement and carrier aggregation, LTE load balancing; Performing fast uplink adaptation, improvement in UE Drop Rate by (Extended RLF timer, Carrier aggregation, load). Perform report analysis for 4G (VoLTE Setup Success rate, RRC Drop rate, RACH failure rate, PCI Conflict & DL & UL Throughput. Undertake RNC, NodeB, UCELL parameter modifications such as Cell selection & Reselection (2G to 3G), 2G & 3G External Cell parameter audit. Perform call drop analysis, SHO, HHO, IRAT, HO, RRC, RAB, SHO Factor Congestion KPI analysis and take appropriate actions. Monitor and benchmark RNC/NodeB upgrade/patch implementation. Perform tracing analysis using Trace Viewer and LMT. Be responsible for RRC, RAB, IRAT, HO failures, call drop, SHO failures analysis.
